IMPS was a British Library funded project at The University of Reading about the use of interactive multimedia in primary schools. The project looked at children's responses to conventions for access, navigation, typography and picture/text interaction. It was also concerned with issues of classroom management: how do teachers introduce interactive materials to their class and how can they use them in their schemes of work?
IMPS was directed by Dr Sue Walker, Department of Typography & Graphic Communication and Professor Viv Edwards, Reading and Language Information Centre. The project ran from October 1996 to September 1998.
